David Goode Piano.JPG

David Goode is an experienced and accomplished pianist, as well as being known as a virtuoso organist. He has given solo piano recitals in many venues as well as accompanying extensively and performing chamber music (including Brahms' 1st Trio and Ravel's Trio.) He has also taught piano for many years at all levels from beginners to advanced diplomas.

Whether you are a conservatoire student needing an accompanist for an audition, or you want to resurrect your piano playing after a long gap, I can promise a skilled, sympathetic and efficient service.

"There is a feeling at the back of peoples’ minds that one can’t be both an excellent pianist and a really outstanding organist. Whatever the truth may be of this, David Goode certainly proves the opposite. He is well known as an outstanding organist, but I know him as an impeccable pianist too, who plays with consummate musicianship, shape, variety and polish. He is, of course, totally reliable, but he goes considerably beyond this."

"David was my accompanist for my ABRSM Grade 8 Cello exam. As a adult learner who has not done any similar exam for 20+ years, his professionalism, calmness and experience put me immediately at ease. His depth of knowledge and meticulous preparation for our rehearsals gave me complete confidence in an exam situation. Thanks to his superb musicianship, I was able to benefit from his wisdom in my interpretation of the music and also useful pointers in the aural tests. David went beyond duty and was immeasurably flexible when the exam got unexpectedly cancelled and had to be rearranged. Most importantly, having such an accomplished accompanist made the exam an enjoyable music-making experience! It was indeed a privilege to work with one of the leading musicians in the country."
